Restoration

Today I Come With Good News

Often times when we hear the word restoration, we think in terms of quantifiable metrics (days, years, dollars, etc).

Perceiving from this lens is not incorrect, but it is incomplete.

What does the Word of God has to say about this?

Job 8:6

"If you are pure and upright, even now He will rouse Himself on your behalf and restore you to your rightful place.

Friends, God will not only restore you and I quantitatively, but he will restore you "to your rightful place."

Our rightful place is a place of authority. Not delegated authority, but a place of authority (in Christ).

So what's the difference between delegated authority and authority?

Delegated authority often times equates to autonomy. It's someone saying, "I unequivocally trust you to make decisions without my input."

But authority in Christ, speaks to submission and humility to the authority of Christ to govern our every decision. It is the difference between leadership and Righteous Leadership.

Conclusion:

So as we execute our "To Do List" today, let's approach it with confidence, knowing that we have been restored to a place of authority,  (with signs of joy following).

When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice. - Proverbs 29:2
